The United Nations Security Council unanimously passed a resolution furthering sanctions on North Korea this past Tuesday for her satellite launch on December 12. Immediately afterwards, North Korea denounced the UN, the United States, and South Korea, which included threats of another nuclear test and attacks on both countries. According to some sources however, North Korea still has several technical difficulties that must be addressed in order to attain a nuclear arsenal despite the successful satellite launch last month.
