On Friday August 20th, millions of Afghans turned out to vote in the country’s second Presidential elections, despite threats of violence and security fears. Polls opened at 7am in Kabul and closed at 5pm across the nation. Taliban-led violence was seen around the country, but many Afghans still made their way to polling stations.
